My work is the result of formal investigations and material studies in the properties of paper. Through my research I seek to understand and record my experience as it relates to the world that surrounds us.
I internalize natural imagery and textures to create abstract landscapes. These landscapes are indicative of the disconnect between the reality of human observation and the distortions that occur when we try to visualize and recreate our observations. These distortions serve as a metaphor for our detached relationship with the environment.
